Shri Gajanan Maharaj first appeared in Shegaon, Maharashtra on 23rd February 1878, in a mysterious and divine manner. His origins remain unknown, which adds to his spiritual aura and greatness.
He was first seen as a radiant young saint displaying unusual behavior—detached from worldly norms yet filled with deep spiritual wisdom. From that moment, devotees realized they were witnessing a divine incarnation.
